Grainwell

The Craft

A small workshop, not a factory. Every order is one slab, one maker and one photo for you to approve before the finish goes on.

1. Wood chosen for character — days 1–10

We pick a slab for its grain and knots, then rough-carve the shape on the bandsaw and with hand tools. Live edges are kept where the design calls for them.

2. You see it before we finish it — photo approval

We email photos of the raw carving. Ask for tweaks to the edge, the taper of a leg or the depth of a shelf. Nothing is finished until you say so.

3. Finished, crated, delivered — about 2 weeks

Sanded through 220 grit, stained in your chosen tone, sealed with a hard-wax oil and left to cure. Then crated and shipped free with tracking.

Finishes

Black, brown, oak and walnut are stain tones applied to the solid wood. The species may vary by slab availability and is confirmed with your approval photos.
