Cutting an opening through a form is where a sculpture is most likely to be lost. The Organic Heart Floor Sculpture Modern Entryway Foyer is worked so the inner void is opened gradually, leaving the surrounding wood thick enough to carry the shape above it. Both the inner and outer surfaces are sanded to the same standard, because in a foyer you see through it as often as at it. Joined wood blocks, blended until the opening looks grown rather than drilled.
Artistic Design
The sculpture is composed of fluid vertical elements that curve, separate, and reconnect to create a dynamic layered silhouette. Some sections form soft openings within the structure, allowing light to pass through and highlighting the relationship between solid wood and negative space. The varied contours give the piece a different appearance from each angle, making it well suited for open interiors where it can be viewed from multiple directions.
Natural Material
- Materials & Craftsmanship: Crafted from wood blocks joined together.
- Finish: The surface is gently finished to preserve visible grain patterns, subtle natural markings, and warm tonal variation while enhancing the smooth sculptural character of the form.
Versatile Placement
Its vertical scale and artistic silhouette allow it to complement many settings:
- Statement sculpture for contemporary living rooms
- Decorative accent for spacious hallways or entry areas
- Artistic feature beside sofas, consoles, or staircases
- Floor décor for bedrooms and private sitting areas
- Sculptural element for resort or hospitality environments
- Natural focal point for minimalist and organic interiors
Please note: Because every sculpture is handcrafted using natural wood, differences in grain pattern, texture, markings, and tone may occur. These variations are part of the material’s natural character and ensure that no two sculptures are exactly alike.
